Q INDUSTRIES SUPPORTS THE ARTS

QNEWS

In celebration of the vibrant street culture of Ho Chi Minh City, FEEL IT, the public arts and music festival was recently hosted by Skullcandy Vietnam at the rooftop of our Q.I Building.

The event gathered street artists, music and craft enthusiasts who participated in a series of activities that included live graffiti painting, a skateboarding competition and archery games.

There was even a mini marketplace that featured more than 10 creative local brands, including products from our Q.itchen Factory.

We’re proud to have been part of this event and to show our support for the local arts scene. We can’t wait for the next edition!

QFEATURED F&B SPOTS

WE SPEAK TO CHEF SHERINE LIM, ONE OF THE CHEFS WHO REPRESENTED SINGAPORE AT THE EXPOGAST CULINARY WORLD CUP

Your favourite part of the competition was…
The night when everyone, including the mentors stayed up all night to help with the cold display as there was such a warm spirit of teamwork.

How has Expogast influenced your culinary style?
I learned how to be a more organized chef and my skills have also improved a lot more after the competition.

Your favourite dish in the competition was….
The hot appetiser dish as it took a lot of technical precision in order to execute the dish well and I’m so proud of what we put up for the judges.

MR QUEK KWAN YI, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER OF Q INDUSTRIES VIETNAM, TELLS MORE ABOUT THE COUNTRY AND OUR SISTER OFFICE…

The F&B scene in Vietnam stands out because…
It’s a unique blend of traditional and modern cuisine immersed in a dynamic landscape. The palate in Vietnam is increasingly sophisticated and there are great restaurants opening up all the time.

In your opinion, the up-and-coming food trends in Vietnam are…

Restaurants that support sustainable, eco-friendly farming.

What’s the latest Q Industries’ project in Vietnam?
It’s the Q Industries Building that just turned 1 last November! It’s been a very exciting year as it’s now the flagship location of our company, and includes a warehouse, retail store, state-of-the-art kitchen, restaurant and showroom – all to highlight our desire to be the pinnacle of integrated hospitality services in the region.

Your go-to place for a good Vietnamese meal is…

Home Kitchen Xu Quang, for its cosy atmosphere, large seating and fantastic local cuisine. If you’re looking for a more unique experience, then I would definitely recommend our own Q.itchen Factory restaurant located in the Q.I Building that serves Asian and western fare.
